Communications Design

The Challenge:

Identify the key talking points in Unity pitches, RFPs and decks and translate them to the client through delightfully designed experiences.

Through the thousands of presentations I’ve designed for internal and external clients, I’ve learned it’s not just about creating an aesthetically “pretty” presentation. A successful deck has a function to communicate what you are selling, the story you are telling and empathizing with those who read it. I lead a team of other Communication Designers in producing presentations with these ideas in mind, as a service Unity did not provide prior to my tenure.

Note: Some content has been modified to protect company privacy.

The Result:

  1. Successful pitches winning clients, including Fortune 500 companies.

  2. A resourcing channel to request our team services. Prior to my team, requesting creative design services was almost non existent, if not chaotic.

  3. Clients who have seen our decks returned as potential customers. This was in part because our presentations were designed with more thought than competitors when it came to RFPs.

  4. We became a reliable service for Program Managers at Unity to turn over functional, branded decks within an aggressive timeline.

  5. Created an internal onboarding flow for new hires to leverage as a resource.
