The Challenge:

Create a single source of truth for Unity employees to consolidate resources and help onboard team members.

There was an internal issue at Unity where departments couldn’t keep track of the links not only for their team, but for other teams. This was inefficient when teams wanted to collaborate with each other or worse, attempt to onboard new team members. We all know the feeling of rummaging through dozens of Confluence links and infinite scrolling through Slack channels to find what we’re looking for.

The Result:

  1. Singular site for Unity teams to house and find common solutions.

  2. One true source for new team members to be onboarded.

  3. Wireframes for different/all verticals.

  4. User research based hierarchy.

  5. Consolidation of all the links teams used to house important documents. (Yes – I opened and read through every Confluence link for all teams to create an appropriate Information Architecture.)

  6. Custom UI compatible with *Google Sites
    *Leveraging Google Sites was a mandatory criteria to adhere to company IT protocols.
